Featuring Paul Kingsnorth
Paul Kingsnorth is one of the UK's foremost environmental journalists. His new book 'Real England' on the blanding of Britian has been serialised in both the Daily Mail and the Guardian. He is coming to Llangollen to talk about the themes of his book and about places that stubbornly refuse to have their character erased in the name of progress.
"Magnificent: one of the most important books I have read in
a long time. Revealing, stirring and brilliantly written, it should be read by everyone..."
Zac Goldsmith, Director, The Ecologist
"This is an urgent, important book which helps to shape our view of who we are and who we want to be."
George Monbiot, author of Heat
Paul is a regular contributor to The New Statesman, The Ecologist, and Resurgence amongst many others. See: www.paulkingsnorth.net
Other speakers will include energy expert Neil Crumpton (Friends of the Earth Cymru), Glyn Ceiriog permaculturalist Jude Wright, and Dave Green of the successful Bishops Castle community energy-saving scheme, the Light Foot Household Energy Service.
